Job Description

Duties: We are currently seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The role involves applying plaster and other finishing materials to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both traditional and modern plastering techniques and be capable of producing high quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, sanding, and applying bonding agents as necessary.

• Plaster Application: Apply plaster, render, or other finishing materials to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using hand tools or mechanical equipment.

• Repair Work: Perform repairs on damaged or deteriorated plaster surfaces, matching textures and finishes as required.

• Moulding and Ornamentation: Install decorative mouldings, cornices, and other ornamental features as part of plastering projects.

• Quality Control: Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications, addressing any defects or imperfections promptly.

• Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, using appropriate protective equipment and implementing safe work practices.

• Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and preferences, providing advice and recommendations as needed.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plastering or equivalent qualification.

• CSCS card or other relevant construction industry certifications.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a plasterer, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality workmanship.

• Experience working on a variety of projects, including new construction, renovations, and restoration projects. Skill Requirements:

• Proficiency in a range of plastering techniques, including skimming, floating, and rendering. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce smooth, even finishes.

• Familiarity with a variety of plastering materials and their applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment and interacting with clients.
